Kristy Burns – Institute Principal

Kristy began her training in Adelaide at the age of two where she learnt jazz, ballet, tap and singing. She was involved with Eisteddfods, Dance and Theatrical exams and also Musical Theatre performances throughout Adelaide. After studying drama at Flinders University, Kristy relocated to Sydney to attend Brent Street Performing Arts School as a full time student. Whilst over in Sydney, she began working professionally in commercials, corporate dance, comparing gigs and musical theatre. In 2001, Kristy was part of the opening crew at Universal Studios, Japan where she performed as a singer, dancer and also street actor for 3 years. Returning to Adelaide, she discovered a passion for teaching and also choreographing. She has choreographed for many corporate jobs, TV pilots, original productions, pantomimes, nightclubs, opening ceremonies and providing entertainment for events like the "Tour Down Under". Kristy is excited to join Star Academy and hopes to pass some of her knowledge onto her students.

Jenna Boffa – Creative Director

Jenna is the founder of Star Academy and is the creative director. With over 15 years of performing arts education, Jenna's passion and determination for performing and teaching has led her to fulfil her dream of opening an Institute. The Academy will cater for students who desire to pursue a career in entertainment or simply to have fun and get fit. Jenna found a passion for hip hop whereby she has participated and choreographed in award winning routines on an international scale. Her love of drama has ensured she participated in pantomimes and other various activities around South Australia. While currently studying a University degree in Law and Business, Jenna strives for excellence in ensuring her students have access to the best performing arts education in the business.
